Hiding from eDiscovery in Plain Sight Posted: 29 Aug 2011 06:17 AM PDT http://ow.ly/6fnJJ Article by Bill Tolson appearing on eDiscovery 101 website. This interesting article discusses the use of QR codes, which are bar codes that can be scanned to transmit various types of messages, such as writing messages, audio files, video files, and links to websites. QR codes are not generally processed by eDiscovery software, and could be used to hide information that the sender does not wish to be found during the discovery process. This is something eDiscovery vendors need to become aware of, and develop protocols for.
